Mercy's Faces of Courage Reaches Goal

With the support of donors and community sponsors, the Mercy Health Foundation has raised critical funds to enhance care for patients and families at Ascension Mercy Hospital. The Foundation's third annual Faces of Courage event was held in March of this year, engaging friends old and new for the Mercy Health Foundation, while raising funds for the cardiac rehab program.

Championed by this year's Face of Courage, Bill Behlman, and thanks to the generous support of donors from throughout the community and surrounding area, our goal was to raise $75,000 to purchase equipment to improve the ability to meet the individual needs and goals of patients in the cardiac, pulmonary and peripheral artery disease rehab programs. On March 9, we welcomed over 200 guests at the UW-Oshkosh Alumni Center to learn more about cardiac rehab and celebrate local survivors, our Faces of Courage. Enjoying an evening of comedy, auction fun and more, our generous donors and sponsors were able to surpass our goal, raising over $85,000 to support our families, neighbors, and friends.

Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. Knowing how to take care of yourself and where to go if you develop cardiovascular problems could save your life. Ascension Mercy Hospital's heart, lung and vascular care experts are taking a leadership role in preventing heart and lung disease in our community. Affinity Heart, Lung & Vascular Center in Oshkosh and Appleton are the most extensive centers for heart and lung testing, treatment, rehabilitation and preventive care in Northeast Wisconsin . We offer the latest in cardiology techniques, drugs and interventions for patients of all ages. When seconds count, it's important to know that the very best team, cutting-edge technology and resources are available close to home.

As we celebrate over 45 years working with you, our donors and community, we want to thank you for your support and investment in serving our important mission. Many life-saving programs and initiatives just wouldn't happen without you and your generous support. All gifts made to the Mercy Health Foundation will continue to fund projects which carry out the mission of Ascension Mercy Hospital and AMG Clinics serving communities in the Oshkosh area.
